4.0 Architecture
Research Group
Our purpose is to research, develop and promote the development of the Architecture 4.0 concept. That is, the architecture made with new technologies such as 3D printing, CNC, use of robotic arms, algorithmic designs... We aim to make known to the university community the new technologies thar are changing the way we construct buildings, through and theoretical-practical activities, designs, workshops, talks and publications.

We are researchers, but architects, we research the application of new technologies in construction as well as the possible improvements of these new production processes through what we do best, architecture. We build single-family homes for end customers applying new technologies such as 3d concrete printers or parametric design processes.
Milestones
We have a collaboration agreement with BeMore3D, a group of engineers who have developed a concrete 3d printer to build single-family houses. We design all their projects according to the machine capabilities, while we investigate the improvement of its production processes, code and new construction typologies. In addition, we publish articles with our progress and organize workshops to teach the university community about architecture 4.0.
