3D Printed Housing
in Maroc

Size: 30m2
Date: 2019

Solar Decathlon Africa

Inspired by traditional houses in the rural environment of Morocco, which use earthy materials such as baked clay or adobe, generating geometries with curved encounters and not always orthogonal lines.

With available concrete and the required area, the house was thought as a free-standing binuclear organism, separating day and night with a single intermediate partition, in a narrowing of its geometry.

The continuous and unitary design, with angles smoothed by curves, is perfectly adapted, both to the geographical and climatic environment and to the maximum potential use of 3D printing technology with structural concrete.
